Currently, poor management of our city's budget has created issues that directly affect every Roanoke citizen. The excessive spending practices and the lack of prioritizing capital projects has lead to inadequate funding to address essentials such as storm drainage systems and the adequate funding for the city schools. Also, our current council's indecisiveness continues to stagnate the progress of projects, such as renovating the city market building and the storm water drainage system.

Our city's future relies upon the support of small businesses and upon developing our outdoor amenities, which are a draw for new families and creative entrepreneurs. The lack of support for these venues is directly effecting Roanoke's economic growth. The time is now for strong leadership that practices proactive fiscal management, accountability, and transparency with each budget decision. The time is now for city councilmen who are worthy of the trust of Roanoke citizens. The time for change is now!
